Sensing Place Through Fiber Paper Collage with Jacquline Mallegni

Take a deep dive into fiber art through collage and materiality during this 4-day workshop retreat. Explore the nature of textured paper combined with foraged materials, thread, ink, and dye.
Permeate your collage panels with a sense of place from the natural environs or from an idea or story that is ready to be told. Inclusions such as thread, photos, decorative paper, plant fiber, ink, plant-based stain, and indigo can be applied for surface embellishment and depth.

Ontario Art Book Fair

“The Ontario Museum of History & Art announces the Ontario Art Book Fair on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 11 AM – 5 PM. This free one-day event showcases regional artists’ books, catalogues, monographs, periodicals, and zines. The Museum will open its art galleries to 50 exhibitors including publishing houses, independent press collectives, artists, zine-makers, printmakers, and individuals practicing in experimental paper formats.  

The event highlights exhibitors from around the country with an emphasis on California-based artists and publishers. Highlights will include publications on photography, illustration, comics, rare and out of print ephemera, zines, poetry, and artists’ writings. Programming will include hands-on zine making workshop hosted by the Ontario City Library, print-making activities, artist talks, and temporary art installations. Original books, zines and art prints will be on exhibit and available for purchase. Light refreshments will be available on site for purchase throughout the day."

From technical advances in glass fusing, to radical stylistic innovations, Narcissus Quagliata has redefined what it means to be a glass artist. He has been instrumental in moving stained glass beyond ecclesiastical and domestic settings and into the realms of public art and avant-garde studio practices for contemporary fine art. Highlighting a 50-year career, this exhibition features fused glass portraits, watercolor paintings, and large-scale public commissions.

Dame Tequila “The Royal We” Opening Show

"Experience the intimate world of Tequila Mockingbird known as Dame Tequila at the Los Angeles center for digital art. In his debut solo show, “Awaiting Equilibrium” at Dorado 806 Projects in Santa Monica, Ca., Christensen aims to expand on his lively expression of slow motion escapism through his current Sungod protagonist, a symbol of contemplative consciousness and enlightenment.
