  • Homes In Memoriam LA

    Summary: Homes in Memoriam LA is a non profit organization that is providing free home portraits to those who lost their homes during the LA fires. They are currently looking for more artists to help create probono portraits. You can learn more about the organization HERE.

  • Alice: Illustrating Wonderland

    Summary: “We invite artists of all ages to reimagine the whimsy and wonder of Lewis Carroll’s timeless tale. Choose a character or scene that inspires you—from the Mad Hatter’s tea party to Alice’s encounter with the Queen of Hearts—and craft your own two-dimensional masterpiece. Winners will receive prizes, and at least 10 pieces from each age category will be featured in the exhibit alongside 160 beautifully illustrated editions of the book.   • Centennial Park Sculpture

    Summary: “The City of Tustin Public Art Commission, in partnership with the City of Tustin Parks and Recreation Department, is seeking submissions from artists for a permanent outdoor installation. Submissions can take the form of functional or non-functional art.  One sculpture will be chosen for placement along the entry walkway, adjacent to a playground area at Centennial Park in Tustin, CA. The selected artist or collaborative group will receive compensation between $10,000 to $20,000 for the artwork.”

    Summary: The City of Santa Clarita (City) is inviting artists to submit artwork for consideration in the upcoming “Childhood Memories” juried exhibition, which will be on view at the Newhall Community Center. This exhibition explores the themes of nostalgiainnocence, and imagination, inviting artists to reflect on the moments that shaped their youth. From cherished personal experiences and beloved toys to childhood games and familiar places, this exhibit celebrates the magic of growing up.   • San Diego International Airport New Terminal 1 Inaugural Exhibition- Snapshot San Diego

    Summary: “San Diego International Airport’s Arts Program invites cultural, community, and educational organizations, as well as curators, collectives, and artists, to submit proposals for the inaugural exhibition, Snapshot San Diego, to mark the opening of New Terminal 1. We are seeking collections that tell authentic, accessible and focused stories of the region. Whether it’s the legacy of Kumeyaay culture, the colorful energy of Mexican-American mural art, the powerful histories within our LGBTQ+ communities, or the artistic pioneers and sports legends that have left their mark, we want to showcase the multifaceted identity of San Diego and those who steward and live in service of those stories.”

  • Pelona Vista Park Staircase Murals

    Summary: “The City of Palmdale is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for stair murals to be installed at Pelona Vista Park. This exciting art initiative will transform the park’s two staircases leading to the north fields into visual expressions of the project’s themes of health, wellness, sportsmanship and community pride.”

    Summary: “Call for Fashion Designers: Edgy Eco-decadent designers from across the region are invited to show their arte-couture and bespoke tailored designs. Art fashions inspired by the re-using of objects destined for landfills. All garments can be constructed, assembled or embellished using non-conventional and conventional elements including thrifted, reconditioned, rummaged and scrapped materials. The Recycled Materials Runway Event features fashion designs with a focus on student, aspiring artistic fashion designers….or anyone who can “make it work”.

  • San Diego Watercolor Society’s Plein Air Exhibition 2025 “Out ‘n’ About”

    Summary: “The goal of the 2025 SDWS Plein Air Exhibition Out ‘n’ About is to showcase the Plein Air artwork of water-based media artists. The exhibition will be open to all artists, SDWS members and non-members. There will be cash prizes of $1,000, $500, $300, a People’s Choice Award worth $200, and three Honorable Mentions at $50. Additionally, the juror will choose two “Best Local Scene” awards (representing the San Diego area).”

    Summary: “Topicality is OCCCA's forte, and the extreme weather caused by climate change has become an existential threat to our planet now. From Rembrandt and Turner to Gerhart Richter’s Secrets of Clouds, for centuries, artists have been interpreting the weather in their art. But now is the time for artists to make a statement. Not just beautiful sunsets and devastatingly frightening floods, but show us your high tides, big waves, atmospheric rivers, and storm cells. We have melting icebergs and glaciers falling into the ocean. Heat waves and dust blanketing large portions of the country. Tornadoes, hail, and lightning delivered by Cumulonimbus clouds. Show us all the extremes and kick up a storm.”
