What’s Not Included
Stock images- The images used in the example websites are stock images sourced from UnSplash. These images will not be included in your template. Instead, you will be guided through how to add your own photos into those spaces.
Subscription to Squarespace- Your template comes with a 6 month free trial to edit your site but once you’re ready to publish you will need to choose your Squarespace subscription plan. These templates were designed to function on the most basic plan, the Personal Plan, but if you’d like to take advantage of more advanced features you can pick a more advanced plan. If you’d like to check out the plans and their pricing click HERE. The tutorials that come with your template walk you through the process of choosing a plan and publishing your site.
Custom domain- Squarespace will provide you with a free domain ending in squarespace.com. If you’d like your website URL to not include the name Squarespace in it, you can purchase your own domain. Website domains ending in .com typically cost around $10-$20 a year. You can purchase a domain directly through your Squarespace account, which your video tutorials will show you how to do.
Terms and Policies Pages- Since everyone’s policies will differ depending on how they use their website, I cannot provide the policies. Squarespace offers some helpful resources for figuring out what should be included in your policies and terms:

Within 48 hours of purchasing your template you will receive an email from Squarespace titled “Contributor Invitation From Brittany Taylor”. This email will prompt you to create an account on Squarespace where your website template will be waiting for you.
Immediately after receiving this email from Squarespace you will receive another email from me (socalartopportunities@gmail.com) granting you access to your tutorials.
Once you’ve created your Squarespace account I will transfer complete ownership of the site over to you.

No. Within 48 hours of purchasing your template you will receive an email prompting you to create a Squarespace account where you will then find your new website. You do not need to create a Squarespace account beforehand.

After you’re granted access to your site, I will provide you with a link to the tutorial videos.

Nope! You can absolutely add your own custom code if you choose to do so but you do not need to code nor have prior web design experience to use these templates.

The video tutorials total about 20ish minutes from start to finish. The time it takes you to fully complete your site really depends on how many art pieces you add. While you have a 6 month free trial to build your site, realistically you could complete it in under a day.

When you access your site, you will see that Squarespace has randomly generated a free domain for you. While you can edit this domain name (the tutorials will show you how to do that) it will still end in squarespace.com unless you purchase your own domain. (The tutorials will also show you how to do that too.)

The template was designed to work on the most basic plan that Squarespace offers which is the Personal Plan. If you’d like to perform transactions through your website you can choose the Business Plan option instead of the Personal Plan when signing up for your Squarespace subscription model.
